Ben and Ted taking a walk

It was a chilly December day. We had quite a snowfall that morning and I was worried about the conditions, but it seems Ted and Ben were not worried the least.

This meet-up was about making memorable photographs and ensuring that family does get a few lovely photos for Christmas. We made it a casual event and walked down the path covered in snow as we watched a little fluff-ball Ted, a toy poodle, play in deep snow like there is no tomorrow.

It was quite chill (no pun intended). We strolled and I snapped photos, laughed at Ted and directed Ben on where to stand for a nice casual photo.

For some of the photos, I had to be really close to the ground. It actually meant that I was on a path, stomach down trying to capture a few of Ted running fast towards me. I typically do not use burst mode on my camera, just a very fast shutter speed and hope for the best.

Ben is a high school student and knowing that his life path leads into adulthood and independence, it was a great idea to have a few moments of Ben only captured. I am sure the family will appreciate his patience and willingness to go with flow and pose for me. I did some black and white but also colour.

For the end, I do hope that everyone went home for some hot chocolate. I was a bit worried about Ted as he has gotten quite cold towards the end. As for me, I could not wait to get home just to get started on the photographs.

Thank you guys for daring the cold for me!
